2017 Prairie Wildfire Taekwondo Challenge
This years 19th Annual event is set for April 29th. Most event information will be the same as last year. There host hotel is behind the Painted Hand Casino. This is walking distance from the venue. In addition there are four brand new hotels in Yorkton. However there are many events in Yorkton and the hotels are always difficult to reserve at the last moment. Please reserve well in advance.
Thank you for your participation at our 19th Annual event. I wish to extend a special thanks to all the volunteers and referees for a job well done.
The competitors travel from as far away as Edmonton, Alberta as well as participants from North Dakota. We once again will run a double elimination for the pattern and sparring competition. We use Daedo E-Strike for all coloured and black belts in all rings. We will use the E-Head Gear for junior and adult black belts.
This a very athlete centered event that give multiple opportunities for the participants to refocus and perform again. Developing referees are mentored in a positive environment. We are very proud of the design model of this event and believe it should be on your Taekwondo training circuit and Long Term Plans for development.
This year we have added a Family Team Poomsae event. For this inaugural year there will be only one division judged on points.
See You in Yorkton!
